Mike Gesa Munabi, a young Ugandan national based in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa, born to Mr. and Mrs. James and Gertrude Munabi of Jinja, the second largest city of Uganda. Currently, is actively involved in youth leadership and community development both at local, national and international level. In the human rights field, Mike is the President for Students for Global Democracy Uganda.Mike offered Environment and Developmental Studies at Makerere International Institute of Environmental Education, Development and Practical Skills, however his great passion and desire lies in engaging fellow young Ugandans in community service to bring about social change and he has been empathetic in doing so, and gives all the glory to Almighty God, who has enabled him to fulfill his dream of being a blessing to young vulnerable generation in his home country, Uganda.He has also been a great brain behind the initiation of various youth led organizations in Uganda; he pioneered the expansion of Youth Action International’s programs to Uganda, this is an American youth based organization reaching out to vulnerable children in war and post war countries in Africa, He is also the Country Ambassador for Youth for Change International, and as if that is not enough, he is the co-founder of Students Environmental Action Coalition Network, a community based organization which empowers youth for environmental and social justiceAt the macro –level in Uganda, through school and community outreach programs, his work involves empowering fellow young Ugandans, principally students with the knowledge and principles of human rights and democracy to enable them effectively participate in the democratization processes of their nation and the outside world.He is also an ambassador for the International Network for Education Exchange(http://www.inex.org/about/ambassadors/)
