Students for Global Democracy Uganda is a member of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) that was set up as an umbrella organization working to support the experimental creation and preservation of low impact lifestyles across the globe. GEN is a growing network of sustainable communities and projects that bridge different cultures, countries, and continents. GEN serves as an umbrella organization for ecovillages, transition town-initiatives, co-housing developments and intentional communities, while reaching out to business, NGOs, educational institutions and governments worldwide.
